1. Fundamentals of Librarianship.
2. Information Sources and Services. 		The course in designed as three year undergraduate programme for Bachelor of Arts students. It is one of the major optional subject. The programme will acquaint students to fundamentals of Library science. How Libraries are organized, their storage system and mechanism. Use of various digital modes etc is the programme outcome for the student who passes the course. The course is one of the career options for the students. The student after learning the Fundamentals of Librarianship will be able to know about the types of Libraries and how they function, the theories, associations and laws of Library. In the second paper student will come out with the added knowledge about what are information sources and services and will know how to do information repackaging and consolidation.

The paper Knowledge organization in Libraries will acquaint students about the cataloguing, metadata and the understanding how it works. It ensures hands on practice on cataloguing of various documents. The second paper acquaints student how information can be stored and saved which can be used whenever it is required. Similarly how Information retrieval can be done is also taught.

Computer Application in Libraries paper is a value addition to the information and knowledge which students already have. The use of various computer applications in maintaining library will give practical insights to the students. Library Management is another useful paper for students who graduate from this discipline. They will be able to learn how proper management of books, use of digital modes and use of various software enhance the Library management.
