2. Society in India-Structure & Change. 		The course in Sociology is designed for three year degree course, in order to introduce student to the subject which is supposed to be youngest of all social sciences. The discipline course is designed to incorporate all the aspects of society whether social, economic, political, and technological and the concepts related to it. The course outcome is to strengthen the conceptual, theoretical, analytical skills of the students. The Introduction to Sociology is meant for the students to get acquainted with the concepts and definitions related to the subject. The programme mainly focuses on the preliminary knowledge about the subject. The second paper intends to present the comprehensive and integrated profile of the society.

2. Indian Society-Issues & Problems. 		The course in Sociology is designed for three year degree course, in order to introduce student to the subject which is supposed to be youngest of all social sciences. The discipline course is designed to incorporate all the aspects of society whether social, economic, political, and technological and the concepts related to it. The course outcome is to strengthen the conceptual, theoretical, analytical skills of the students. The student gets to know about the causes and nature of social change and social control. The rapidity and pace of social change is explored. The second paper related to issues and problems of Indian Society. The course intends to sensitize student to the emerging issues and problems in the contemporary society.

2.Social Research Methods 		The course in Sociology is designed for three year degree course, in order to introduce student to the subject which is supposed to be youngest of all social sciences. The discipline course is designed to incorporate all the aspects of society whether social, economic, political, and technological and the concepts related to it. The course outcome is to strengthen the conceptual, theoretical, analytical skills of the students. The Foundations of Sociology is the paper which provides substantive basis for the understanding of the theoretical and Methodological contributions made by the founding fathers of Sociology as well as the main contributors to Indian Sociology. The second paper on Social Research mentors the student in research methodology and the use of techniques related to data collection and data analysis. The students get well versed in quantitative & qualitative methods.
