Government Postgraduate College, Noida is a co-educational institution established under the aegis of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. With a commitment to providing affordable and quality education, the college primarily serves students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds who aspire to pursue higher studies.

Founded in 1982, the college has witnessed consistent growth in academic offerings and infrastructure. Initially launched with nine departments under the Faculty of Arts, it has expanded over the years to include undergraduate programs in Science and Commerce as well. Currently, the college offers undergraduate courses across all major faculties, comprising eleven disciplines in Arts and six in Science. In addition, it also provides postgraduate education in Commerce and Economics.

The college maintains academic affiliation with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, aligning its curriculum, evaluation, and degree standards with those of the university. Government Post Graduate College Noida was established in the year 1982 as a Degree college in the then District of Ghaziabad,which later on reorganized and named as Gautam Buddha Nagar.The college got its subjects affiliation in the year 1984 from Chaudhary Charan Singh University and 12b and 2f in the year 1987.
